This section provides answers to a number of frequently asked questions.
Should you require additional information on any topic, please see your

To answer this
question, we have to go back to the basics and clearly bear in mind that the
essential purpose of these tests is to detect specific behaviours, such as
planning, organizing and supervisory skills, as well as manifestations of
customer focus, political acumen, etc. Obviously, these findings are only one
source of information, which have to be validated and supported by other
evaluation tools, including interviews. The following hypothesis can therefore
be stated: individuals who show management skills or potential in this area
will manifest certain management behaviours, regardless of the role they play.
It remains to be seen what these tendencies are and the degree to which they
are mastered. The in-basket exercise is useful to identify these skills. Among
other benefits, it will fuel questions and additional discussion.
First of all, we would like to emphasize that, whether you have been selected or not, the feedback meeting has proven to be a very important step in the evaluation process.
Among the reasons to justify this meeting, we would like to point out that it is an opportunity for you to be personally informed about the conclusions drawn from this day of tests, management simulation exercises and interviews, which might have caused some individuals to experience performance stress.
Moreover, this discussion will enable you to receive detailed information about the results obtained from the various tools used in your evaluation. Since the main objective is to ensure that this meeting is worthwhile, you will have an opportunity to talk with the consultant and, consequently, better understand the evaluation of your competencies.
Areas for development could also be proposed to you; finally, a copy of the report that was sent to the corporate client will be given to you.
Of course, the consultant will be available to answer any questions you may have afterwards and, if necessary, help you develop your competencies.
Mentoring generally refers to the guidance that an experienced person gives to less-experienced individuals. The mentor shares his knowledge, provides useful insights based on his experience and gives a great deal of advice. He is usually chosen from the organization or area of activity of the person that he is guiding.
Life Coaching is a new term that describes the guidance that a relationship specialistcan provide to someone who wishes to improve the overall quality of both the personal and professional aspects of his life. As a rule, the client receives constant remedial guidance during frequent meetings. The process generally includes activities that will enable the individual to reflect upon and determine his values.
Management Coaching, as its name indicates, aims at acquiring, developing and maintaining effective management behaviours. Management Coaching is a rigorous learning through action process that requires the assistance of an experienced coach who draws on his extensive intervention or management experience. The suggested approach, focused on problem-solving, involves experimenting and performing concrete work-related activities. The process includes an evaluation of how the individual masters targeted competencies, as well as any necessary readjustments in his action plan. Management Coaching is certainly one of the most effective ways to develop talent and leadership in organizations.
Psychometric tests must be administered in an environment conducive to concentration. Conditions of administration must therefore be applied to ensure the validity of the tools used. This is why we prefer that candidates take the tests at our offices in the presence of personnel trained for this purpose. However, it is possible to subdivide the evaluation into two or three sessions subject to the Professionnal's availability.
·It is advantageous to respond to tests that require spontaneous answers without trying to force or falsify your answers. Otherwise your profile is likely to misrepresent you.
·Some tests call for analytical skills and require an effective work method that combines quality and productivity.
·You can improve your performance in an in-basket exercise with some fairly explicit telegraphic notes on the analysis of the problem and the actions to be taken. It’s helpful to have the right answers, but it’s essential to ask yourself the right question and prepare future interventions.
·For simulations in a group or with an intervener, the key is to show yourself in your true light, in all honesty, while ensuring that you make yourself clearly understood and explain the rationale for the positions you take.
The goal of this process is to identify a set of skills and attitudes that an individual may or may not have had the opportunity to demonstrate. This is why we use the term "potential" as it captures both previously observed, as well as "hidden" attributes.
